Our year was very involved with reaching the community and shaping more relationships as our number of volunteers grew! Our clothing sale in the spring was a huge hit and raised 3,000 in 8 hours! Plus our services and bills would not be covered each year if it were not for the amazing women of ZONTA and their financial contributions and loving support.
As an organization run solely by volunteers and no paid people or government grants (to date) it is wonderful to see that what is needed always shows up with such appreciation for what we do to help our clients i the community. And for this and the ready-to-wear career clothing that appears we are forever grateful. To our community fashion stores that support us year round – THANK YOU!
Toward the year’s close at our AGM we rang in a new president Jo-Anne Montgomery and bid farewell to Deep Cheema our president of the past six years. It was bitter sweet moment as you can image, wishing her well as she moves on to new things. We hope she will be in to work the shop and sales from time to time.
