The pendant featured a four-inch bar inscribed with the words GRATITUDE, COURAGE, KINDNESS and TODAY IS A GIFT. It was aimed at buyers looking for a special way to honour a mother in their lives. The bonus is that all profits from each necklace sold went to charities across Canada, including Wear2Start.

Huge thanks to Paris Jewellers for its sparkling support of Wear2Start.

We recently visited with Paris Jewellers Hillside store manager Allan G. Boos to pick up 32 necklaces and a $480 voucher that will help us honour clients and supporters and raise more money for our cause.

In May, the Canadian jewellery retailer’s Pay It Forward program offered an 18-inch, stainless steel, silver tone pendant for sale as a frundraiser for  many worthy causes. The pendant featured a four-inch bar inscribed with the words GRATITUDE, COURAGE, KINDNESS and TODAY IS A GIFT. It was aimed at buyers looking for a special way to honour a mother in their lives. The bonus is that all profits from each necklace sold went to charities across Canada – and in Victoria, the jewellery company chose Wear2Start as its recipient. Thank you so much to Paris Jewellers for a sparkling way to help women in need!

Paris Jellewers, which began 31 years ago with one store in St. Albert, Alberta, has grown to 28 stores in B.C., Alberta, Saskatchewan and Ontario. As well as supporting Wear2Start in Victoria, Paris’s Pay It Forward promotion helped Nanaimo’s Haven Society, a leading anti-violence organization that promotes the integrity and safety of women, children, youth and families.  Other charities that benefitted included transition houses such as Interval Home in Lloydminster, Alberta, Interim Place in Brampton, Ontario and Interval House in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

It’s this kind of support that helps weave and strengthen the Canadian safety net that supports those in need. Again, many thanks to Paris Jewellers.
